What IMGLoader Can and Can't Access on DeviantArt
See which DeviantArt areas IMGLoader can browse through the official API, where Sta.sh fits in, and which limits come from DeviantArt itself.
Tested against the current IMGLoader workflow and provider UI available as of April 1, 2026. Where platform rules or API limits affect results, this guide calls them out explicitly.
IMGLoader’s DeviantArt support is shaped by what DeviantArt exposes through its official API. That means some areas are easy to browse and export, while others are deliberately outside the accessible surface.
What IMGLoader can access
- Your galleries and the deviations inside them
- Your favourites and collections
- Transfer destinations such as new or existing galleries and collections
- Deviations-only uploads, including the option to route them to Sta.sh or publish them
What IMGLoader cannot browse directly
- Sta.sh as a browsable source library
- Hidden content that the official API does not expose to the connected app session
- Anything that would require page scraping instead of the official DeviantArt API
Why Sta.sh is different
Sta.sh is important because it can still be a transfer destination, but it is not available as a browsable source area through the public API. That is why IMGLoader can send files there during a transfer while still being unable to list the stash contents for download later.
Best way to think about the limit
If the official DeviantArt API exposes it, IMGLoader can usually build a clean workflow around it. If the only path would require scraping website pages, IMGLoader leaves it out on purpose.
